Hi there and thanks for stopping by.  I'm a 30 year recent graduate of The University of Texas with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.  I currently work part-time doing community outreach.  I'm also a Graduate Student at The University of Texas School of Social Work part time.  I love yoga, writing, and reading, and I love pursuing my education.  I started this blog to explore the societal demands of being a woman in western culture, and honestly just to write about what I think is relevant, important, irrelevant, unimportant, and sometimes humerous.  In practice this blog is also about who am versus who I want to be and how I plan to get there.  I am a feminist to be sure, but this blog is not a manifesto for radical feminism that seeks to bash men and complain about being oppressed.  I just want to get a little perspective on the demands of daily living that are generated from both outside and inside sources.  In short, I want to consider my assumptions about what it means to live well, to be beautiful, to be healthy, to have fun, and to be a wonderful woman.  Also, sometimes I just want reflect on my life.

I live in Austin, Texas with my wonderful husband (recently married) who I've shared my life with for the past six years.  We have a beautiful life together that we continue to build brick by brick day by day.  Once again, thanks for dropping in and don't hesitate to drop me a line or leave me a comment.
